In this module, you will explore a range of skills over the animation pipeline. You will learn about pitching and creating content for target audiences. You will also learn about group work, and performance animation skills.

Your work in the module will include four briefs. These will be:

  • the TV Show Pitch
  • Life Drawing
  • Assistant Brief
  • Lip Sync

What you will learn

In this module, you will:

  • learn about content and audience awareness. This will allow you to develop an understanding of content and target audience
  • learn design skills. You will learn how to design characters and environments that are appropriate and appealing to the target audience
  • develop a deeper understanding of the principles of animated filmmaking and production pipelines
  • refine your technical knowledge of and creative experimentation within animation pre-production, production and post-production techniques, software and pipelines

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • show an ability to use a range of skills associated with the animation production pipeline
  • understand group dynamics. This will allow you to operate collaboratively in creative contexts. You will be able to generate and pursue shared goals. You will also be able to recognising and respecting situational and interpersonal factors and how these can be effectively accommodated to facilitate productive working relationships
