Your experience in youth work, adult learning, or community development has value. This module gives you a structured way to have that learning recognised, while also preparing you for degree-level study.

You'll engage with theory, policy, and contemporary literature in Community Learning and Development. You will also explore the values, ethics, and competences of the CLD Standards Council. This gives you a platform to reflect on your practice and connect it to professional standards.

The assessment is a viva examination. This is where you'll discuss your practice with academics and qualified community workers. A report from your line manager or supervisor documents your practice experience and hours.

The module is fully online. This is delivered through My Dundee, the University's virtual learning environment.
