The module aims to support students to explore their role as a teacher in the context of anaesthesiology and enhance their skills as a reflective teacher in that context.
By the end of this module, students should be able to:
- Critically appraise the roles, responsibilities, skills and attributes of the clinical teacher in relation to current approaches to supporting learning in the Anaesthetics workplace.
- Critically appraise the practicality of theories and models of workplace learning in relation to clinical teaching and learning in the Anaesthetics context.
- Articulate a critical stance by reflecting upon your own planning, preparation and delivery of clinically focused teaching activities.
- Recommend practical measures to critically analyse and integrate key trends and evidence-based strategies into your clinical teaching in the Anaesthetics setting.
