Research Methods encompass essential skills for designing, conducting, and analysing research. Learning these methods is crucial to formulating informed inquiries. They also allow for collecting and interpreting data and drawing meaningful conclusions.

This module will introduce you to the core principles surrounding academic research.

  • conduct a literature search and review
  • conduct a journal paper review
  • plan and conduct your own research

  • discuss current research topics of interest
  • design a research proposal
  • show an awareness of current research in your chosen field

Assignments / assessment

  • journal paper review (50%)
  • research proposal (50%)

This modules does not have a final exam.
