AI-Driven Innovations and Global Impact module (BU51049)
Examine how artificial intelligence is transforming corporate innovation, international trade, and global development, exploring AI-driven business models, sustainable growth, and the SDG agenda
AI is one of the most significant forces in the global economy today. This module develops your critical understanding of what that means for business and society.
You'll examine how AI is driving corporate innovation, from the development of new business models to the transformation of established industries. Topics include the economics of AI adoption, the role of data as a strategic asset, and how firms compete in AI-intensive markets.
The module then looks outward. You'll explore how AI is affecting international trade flows and patterns of specialisation, and consider the implications for developing and advanced economies. You'll also engage critically with the relationship between AI and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, examining both the potential and the limits of technology-led development.
Assessment combines in-class quizzes to test conceptual understanding with a coursework component that asks you to apply ideas to a real-world context.
