Applied Bioinformatics module (BS32010)

Semester 2

This module builds on the basic bioinformatics introduced in levels 1 and 2, and give you a broad understanding of modern bioinformatics using tools for the analysis of next generation sequencing data and the comparison of genome sequences. The module is very much hands on active learning and aims to develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills in this area. It is heavily command line based, using R and Python code. All assessment is through coursework assignments.
