This guide outlines the steps and who to contact for all high-profile visits to the University
Updated on 31 October 2025
The Principal’s office should be notified of all high-profile visits to the University.
Once arrangements are confirmed, the following offices should be included in one email, which will help coordinate said event (regardless of which campus it’s happening on):
- The Principal’s Office on [email protected] to advise all the known details including location, date, and time and any known special arrangements.
- The Principal’s Office will respond with any relevant comments from the Principal/UEG.
- Campus Security Office on [email protected] to ensure that this activity is logged with Security.
- They can arrange for checks and details as required and, where appropriate, liaise with the Police and other government agencies / security details.
- External Relations on [email protected].
- They will ensure that appropriate public relations and communications are covered.
- Car parking (if required) cc in [email protected] in your message.
- This should be used for high-profile visitors only, so arrangements for car parking (City Campus only) can be reviewed in recognition that they may have specific requirements. Parking outside of the University Tower should be requested through the Principal’s Office.
*Requests for the involvement of the Principal or UEG members in the visit should be coordinated through the Principal’s Office.
*High-profile visitors are defined as persons, through their senior positions or profile, who have the ability to bring about support that would materially benefit the University.
