Transferring ownership and deletion of Jisc Online Surveys

Jisc Online Surveys are retained for 90 days after a staff member or student leaves or their course ends (in case they return within that period). After 90 days, all accounts and associated surveys/results will be permanently deleted.

• Once an account is deleted, all surveys and results in that account are also deleted.
• Before leaving, ensure you download and save copies of any necessary survey forms or results.
• If required, transfer ownership of your survey to a supervisor, line manager, or colleague before your leaving/course end date.

How to transfer survey ownership

To transfer ownership of a survey, you must share it and change the survey contact email to the new owner.

1. Log into your Jisc Online Surveys account.
2. Share your survey with the new owner by following the instructions for Creating Permissions – Create Single

(If already shared, skip this step.)

3. Follow the instructions on the Jisc site to change the survey owner’s email address. The new owner can then share the survey with relevant colleagues.
