Request environmental information about the University of Dundee

Updated on 7 July 2023

How to access or request environmental information about the University under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004

On this page

Access to environmental information held by public authorities is governed by the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

They provide a right of access to environmental information and impose a duty on the University to actively disseminate environmental information.

The bulk of environmental information in the University is maintained by Campus Services and Safety Services. There may also be some historical information held in the University Archive.

You may also find it helpful to consult the University's Publication Scheme.

Making a request

If you cannot find the information you seek on the University's webpages or in the Publication Scheme please email your request to freedomofinformation@dundee.ac.uk.

Charging

The University will complete the first £100 of work towards a request under the EI(S)Rs at no cost to the applicant (calculated on the same basis as the Freedom of Information (Fees for Required Disclosure) (Scotland) Regulations 2004). Thereafter, any costs will be calculated on the basis of actual amounts (including costs for staff time). The University will advise the applicant of the cost of servicing their request prior to commencing any work and any charges levied must be paid by the applicant in full and in advance.

If you have specific questions you may find it helpful to contact the sections of the University that hold the majority of environmental information:
