My project investigates how to design ways to build the relationship between audio and visuals, and looks into how seeing and hearing can work together to create new multi-sensory experiences within an audio creation environment, with the aim to introduce new users to music making and audio creation tools. The target demographic for this project is people who want to create interesting music in fun visual ways but that lack either the musical knowledge or equipment to do so effectively.

The design goals of this project mainly fall into two main parts. First is to look at how audio can be visualised in a way that helps users understand it better and the other is to create interesting audio interactions using creative audio creation tool de-sign. I have done this by creating a generative audio and visual instrument called Stratus that aims to give users a unique and fun way of creating music alongside visuals.
