The Synopsis,
‘On a jagged damp island, in a very small town, three best friends known as the Fuds; Kunto, Snudge and Creggers set out on a mission to get sorted. Along the way they find out they’ve been tricked while stopping for a joint in the woods. They soon stumble across something far beyond their comprehension. Altering their lives forever. Setting them on an arduous quest to figure out what the actual fuck is going on.’
The work consists of hundreds of hand made toys or articulated sculptures, made entirely from scratch-built and kit-bashed models, echoing classic works of science fiction with the use of miniature models and dioramas as sets. I wished to blend the often misrepresented Scottish housing scheme and classic science fictional works, combining the two to emphasize the culture and dialect of a housing estate while grounding it in a phantasmagorical Sci-Fi setting. This is something I feel that there is a gap in the market for.
For this work to come to fruition I assembled a crack team of like-minded individuals. Special thanks to Callum Hughes, Craig McCully, Darcie McIntosh, Clark McIntosh and Connor MacGregor Leslie. I wish to one day make this show on a professional production scale.
