A bridal jewellery collection inspired by the Scottish tradition of having white heather for good luck in the bride's bouquet.

My work is inspired by the Scottish tradition of the bride having white heather in the bouquet. This tradition is said to bring good luck and happiness to the married couple. At the start of a project, I chose materials supporting the idea of the emotion I am trying to convey. The delicate shape of the heather was an interesting shape to draw and make repeat patterns with and was also an interesting shape to be used in different materials.

My designs are clean, modern and simple, with no fuss as this is the aesthetic I took from the white heather. I have always wanted to create precious objects and wearable embellishments. The transformation of raw materials into something usable is a passion of mine and I hope to continue doing this throughout my life.
