About

Alejandra Lopez Trombetta

Ale’s work seeks aspects of physicality, open mindedness and positive environmental impact. She worked on creating the new Chivas whisky bottle & packaging, who take the name of Beira, Scottish Goddess of Winter. The new Chivas celebrates its Scottish heritage & culture, as well as attributing whisky a beautiful environmental experience. Her handmade box (for every bottle), gifts 2 sessile oak tree acorns, which get planted in the new Chivas Beira Forest and intend to mirror the consumer’s growth as well as reducing CO2 emissions. Her second project is a book about the colour yellow. This dives into all the meanings, uses and associations of the colour throughout different cultures and time periods. A typographic publication in which all images are made out of type. This project aims to expand the way that we look at colours and its established perceptions, as well as presenting a new way of classifying and producing colour.
