Every object tells a story. Grab whatever materials you have available and take some time to relax and unwind with a sketching session inspired by artefacts from the University of Dundee Museum Collections.

Each time, you will see a new composition made using museum artefacts. The session is untutored but is suitable for anyone from the absolute beginner to the already accomplished artist. The aim is to help you engage with arts and heritage and discover more diverse opportunities to benefit well-being.

These sessions will take place from 6-7pm on

  • Thursday 14 March
  • Thursday 11 April
  • Thursday 9 May
  • Thursday 13 June

You will have the option to turn on microphones while you sketch and chat together if you wish. One of our museum engagement officers will be hosting the session to tell you about the artefacts you are seeing and answer any questions.

We hope these sessions will help you discover something new, connect with others with shared interests and take the opportunity to be mindful and engage with arts and heritage.

*Some of the compositions may contain zoological specimens. If you wish to know what is in the picture in advance or have any other questions, please contact museum@dundee.ac.uk.
