'Hope is A Form of Planning' is a series of immersive artworks encouraging interaction with the sharing, documenting, and battling of gendered experiences through a compassionate lens. The body of work is an  extension of the website launched in 2021, which allowed people to anonymously submit locations where they had experienced a form of Gender-Based Violence, giving them the power to be in control of how  much or how little they chose to share. The anonymous submissions were then added to a public interactive map, creating a living archive of  individual experiences.

This talk from award-winning student, Dana Leslie, will describe the sculpture, print and video pieces reflecting on the correlation between identity, memory and systemic structures.
