What is Enterprise Challenge?

Introducing you to fundamental business knowledge delivered by experienced industry speakers.

Our extra-curricular programme will allow you to develop sought-after skills to use in any career. Workshops will run from 17:00 - 19:00 on Wednesday or Thursday nights in Semester 1 and Semester 2 at the centre for Entrepreneurship

Participants are awarded certificates for attending the seven workshops and participating in the live pitching final.

Open to students, staff, and recent graduates (graduated within the last 5 years) of the University of Dundee and now, for the first time, open to current students of Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education, D&A College, Abertay University and the University of St. Andrews.

The Enterprise Challenge is always an in-demand programme and priority for places will be given to University of Dundee students.

From Ideation to Realisation

Whether you are interested in starting a business or purely looking to learn enterprise skills, to allow you to hit the ground running we will need you to have a business idea in place (even if only theoretical) in advance of the first week of the programme.

Your journey begins by validating your idea and through our series of workshops with a range of industry experts, your business idea will be realised and written down on our business proposal form and pitched in front of our judges.

You will meet a variety of participants from across our community and you can join a team, bring friends with you, or pursue your idea alone.

For those who wish to take their idea forward at the end of the competition, there is £1,500 worth of funding (University of Dundee related participants only) to be won and for those who simply want to showcase their progress over the 8 weeks, there are still amazing prizes up for grabs that will further your career. Every participant who completes the programme will receive a skills certificate as well.
