Terms and Conditions

ERS

Travel to Dundee must be for the commencement of studies on the relevant programmes starting in September 2024.

All Eligible Costs must be evidenced with valid receipts dated on or after June 2024.

No payment will be made unless the University is satisfied, at its sole discretion, that an Eligible Cost has been incurred subject to these terms and conditions.

Even if the Eligible Costs exceed £500, the University will only reimburse a maximum of £500 to an Eligible Student for Eligible Costs subject to these terms and conditions.

Duration

The ERS is valid for each Eligible Student until Friday 13 December 2024. No redemption of Eligible Costs will be made after this date. The University will not back-date the ERS.

Use

This is a redemption only scheme and no voucher or other award will be issued to students.

The ERS is only available to students once they have matriculated onto one of the programmes set out above.

An ERS is a one-off scheme available for the Duration per Eligible Student. The ERS will not be available to a student who has already redeemed their ERS and will not be repeated for an Eligible Student for each year of study.

Redemption will only be made in person. There is no option for online or email redemption.

All redemptions will be made at the sole discretion of the University.

Monetary Value

The ERS has no cash value.

The ERS cannot be redeemed against any fees, claim of debt or any other kind of payment due, other than as set out under Eligible Costs.

Refunds

No change or credit will be given if the maximum amount is not redeemed.

Transfer

The ERS is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged, assigned, or transferred to another student or any other person.

Cancellation

The University reserves the right to withdraw the ERS immediately and without notice where a student is determined by the University to have misled the University about any aspect of eligibility to receive the ERS. In such circumstances, the University reserves its right to seek repayment of the ERS which has already been redeemed.

Conflict of terms

The University’s Scholarship & Bursary Terms dated October 2023 shall apply to the ERS.

If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the University’s Scholarship & Bursary Terms dated October 2023, the provisions of these terms and conditions will prevail.

Key Information

  • All communication with the student will be via email, and to their @dundee.ac.uk email address.
  • If a student withdraws from the programme or otherwise has their studies terminated the University, they will no longer be eligible for an ERS and if they have claimed an ERS, shall repay the ERS upon demand to the University.
