Jainti Das Saggar Scholarship 2026-27 (the “Scholarship”)
The key facts should be reviewed alongside our scholarship and bursary terms and conditions.
They provide you with additional information that applies to you for the scholarship.
If there is any inconsistency between this Key Facts Document and the University of Dundee Scholarship and Bursary Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the Scholarship and Bursary Terms and Conditions will prevail.
Date of publication
September 2025, applicable to 2026/7 academic year (September 2026 entry).
Application process
- Application details are provided to eligible applicants only.
- Your eligibility will be assessed by our Admissions team, and we will notify you in writing if you are eligible to apply for this Scholarship.
- We use information detailed on your course application & scholarship status to determine if you meet the eligibility criteria for this award.
- If the Admissions Team have not contacted you with the scholarship information, get in touch via our Enquiry form explaining your eligibility.
- You must ensure the information in your application and any supporting documentation is correct, complete, accurate and up to date as any award is based on this information. The University of Dundee reserves the right to withdraw this award if you have submitted information which is false, fraudulent, incorrect, or misleading.
- Please note that a change of name, misspelling, or other changes in information can affect Admissions records and may mean that you will not receive scholarship updates.
- If you change your programme of study before, during or after matriculation, the University of Dundee reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship offer should an applicant's eligibility have changed.
Who is eligible
To be eligible you must:
- Have either a conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible Undergraduate programme at the University of Dundee:
- Hold an offer for a full-time, on campus programme.
- Programme fee must be £21,800 or above for Undergraduate programmes
- Be Indian domiciled.
- Be starting your course in September 2026.
- Hold 'International' Fee Status
- Have firmly accepted an offer of a place to study with us.
- Submit an application form.
Award information
- The value of this scholarship is £5,000
- This award is made as a tuition fee discount. No direct payment is made to any applicant.
Key information
- This Scholarship will be awarded to an Indian domiciled student who wishes to study for an undergraduate degree in any subject starting in September 2026.
- The programme must be a full-time undergraduate programme.
- If you have applied for a Part-Time or Distance Learning programme, then you are not eligible for this Scholarship.
- You may be eligible for more than one University of Dundee Scholarship but only up to a maximum of 50% of your tuition fee total.
- The Jainti Das Daggar Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other University of Dundee scholarships, including
- Global Excellence Scholarship or
- Vice Chancellors South Asia Scholarship
- The Jainti Das Daggar Scholarship may also be held in conjunction with the following University of Dundee scholarships:
- The Alumni Scholarship
- If you have an externally funded scholarship that covers part of the full tuition fee, any applicable University of Dundee scholarships, for which you are eligible, may be awarded (provided that any University of Dundee scholarships are up to a maximum of 50% of your tuition fee total, and the total value of the awards combined does not exceed the total University of Dundee tuition fee).
- If your tuition fees are paid in full by an external sponsorship body no University of Dundee scholarships or discounts will be applicable, unless there is an agreement to this effect with the relevant sponsorship body.
- Should you wish to defer your entry to the University of Dundee, the following rule applies:
- Deferral to a new academic year: Scholarship cannot be deferred.
- If your Fee status or any other personal information changes before, during or after matriculation, the University of Dundee reserves the right to re-assess eligibility for scholarships and may withdraw the Scholarship Offer should your eligibility have changed.
- If you have paid your tuition fees in full prior to being awarded the Jainti Das Saggar Scholarship, the value of the scholarship will be refunded to you after you have enrolled at the University of Dundee. Alternatively, this can be transferred to your University accommodation account balance (if applicable).
- The Scholarship is only awarded in the first year of study only.
- All communication with you will be via the online applicant portal (eVision).
Types of communication may be:- Confirming the scholarship.
- Informing you that you have not met the criteria to be awarded the scholarship.
- Requesting further information.
- The University of Dundee is unable to disclose details of the Scholarship to anyone other than you unless you provide your consent to do so.
- Should a student withdraw from their programme of study, the University of Dundee Fees department may be in contact regarding payment of fees.
- All scholarship decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
