Teaching

Our teaching methods include:

  • research seminars by invited speakers
  • training and developmental opportunities (e.g. careers, CVs, presentation/interview skills)

You'll also take part in a research practicum based either in one of our developmental psychology labs or in a working educational setting, giving you the opportunity to work directly with both children and practitioners.

Assessment

All our assessments are 100% coursework-based, including:

  • essays
  • small seminar-style presentations
  • statistics exercises and quizzes
  • research proposals/reports
  • poster presentation
  • research dissertation

Module code: PY50003 Credits: 20 Semester: Both Semester 1 and 2

This module allows you to undertake a practicum and gain workplace experience in psychology under supervision. You will learn to apply your understanding of psychology to practical issues in a workplace, reflect on your professional strengths, weaknesses and values, as well as gain transferrable skills.
