We invite you to the Adult Nursing – Kirkcaldy Campus Open Day at the University of Dundee on Saturday 28 September 2019 from 10:00 - 14:00
Open Days give you the chance to see the facilities and hear, first hand, what the Kirkcaldy Campus has to offer.
Come on your own, with parents, or as part of a school party. Everyone is welcome to attend including school students, college of further education students, adult returners, parents, teachers and careers advisers.
During your visit, there will be:
- Clinical Skills Workshops
- Tours of the Campus and Accomodation
- Information stands
The central hub on the day will be the Dining Room which will house information stands and the registration point, as well as student services.
As well as the chance to meet staff from the course, we have talks, tours and clinical skills workshops covering all aspects of your time at our Kirkcaldy Campus.
Registration (10am – 10.30am)
Please collect your Open Day pack at our Registration Point. Please remember to bring your Eventbrite confirmation (you can either take a paper copy or have it available to scan on an electronic device).
Welcome Presentation and Student Panel (10.30am)
At 10.30am you will have the opportunity to hear from current Nursing lecturers and admissions tutors to tell you all about the Adult Nursing course in Kirkcaldy, and to guide you through the admissions process. You will then be joined by current Adult Nursing students who will give you an student’s insight in to student life at the Kirkcaldy campus.
Clinical Skills, Campus and Accommodation Tour (11.30am or 12.45pm)
Have a look around our clinical skills workshop at the Kirkcaldy Campus with current nurses and lecturers showing you how you’ll use the equipment if you choose to study Adult Nursing at the University of Dundee. Tours of our campus and the accommodation will also be available during this time if you want to find out more about what the Kirkcaldy campus and accommodation has to offer.
Nursing Personal Statement Workshop (11.30am or 12.45pm)
We’ll provide a helpful guide on how to write a successful Nursing Personal Statement should you apply to the University of Dundee.
Food and Drink
There will be tea, coffee and pastries provided from 10am in the Dining Room and lunch will be provided at 12.15pm to have while you browse our information stalls.
We’ll have representatives from the University of Dundee, SAAS, Fife College and others for you to speak to throughout the day.

When You Arrive
On arrival, please make your way to the registration points in the Dining Room to pick up your Open Day pack with map and any additional notes you may need to help you during your visit.
