This course allows you to specialise in your field and develop the skills needed to respond effectively to the changing demands of your professional workplace.
This course will help you to develop more effective practice in your own profession. You will be required to study your own practice; to explore ways in which you can test new ideas and to explore modules of continuing professional development, applying them to your own circumstances.
Designed for professionals across a wide range of professions and occupations mainly in the public and third sectors. It aims to allow you to develop more effective leadership and management practice within your own role and organisation.
I thought long and hard about going back to studying after such a long break, however, the only regret I have is not starting sooner. The BAPD is a fantastic course which allows you to develop your professional skills while working towards a degree. I would encourage anyone thinking about returning to study to go for it. The module choice is good and the tutor support is excellent.

Returning to education as a mature learner, I was concerned I would struggle with the academic side, but I didn't. The course material and tutors help anyone to learn, and I was able to apply that learning to my workplace. I was given a better understanding of both myself and others, and I now have more clarity as to the reasons behind why I behave or feel certain ways within a given work situation. Having this understanding allows me to react to issues in a professional way and deliver better outcomes to problems encountered.
