Further Information

This year, we are offering 8* applicants the opportunity to study at the University of Dundee through our Humanitarian Scholarship. The Scholarship is available to 1 year postgraduate taught programmes and can be in any of our Schools.

*A proportion of these scholarships will be offered to applicants in conjunction with the British Council’s HESPAL Scheme, one of which will for doctoral candidates from Palestine. Doctoral candidates can apply via the Palestinian HESPAL Scheme.

The Scholarship will provide the following:

  • Up to £20,950 as funding for your tuition fees, which will be reduced from the balance due to the University. You can find out the fees on the course pages, and the fee displayed for your fee status is the amount we will award. However if your course fee is higher than £20,950, you may be required to fund any additional costs.
  • A minimum of £9,135 per year for living costs, which is paid into to your UK/British Bank Account on a monthly basis.
  • Provision of University Accommodation (single person accommodation only) for one year. If you are travelling with your family we can support you to secure adequate private accommodation and will arrange for funding to be provided directly to the landlord. This is in addition to the living costs noted above, and the amount will be the equivalent to the cost of one single person University Accommodation.
