  • Have an academic offer of entry to study at the University of Dundee, beginning in September 2019. This must be for a full time on campus undergraduate or postgraduate programme (the only subject exclusions are programmes in Medicine or Dentistry)
  • Hold an Indian Passport and currently reside in India at time of application
  • Have studied in India at School and College level
  • Not have studied abroad before
  • Be classified as Overseas/International as your Fee Status, as confirmed in your Offer Letter

Further Information

This year, in conjunction with GREAT and other UK Universities, we are offering 2 full tuition fee scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students. There is 1 award available for each level of study, and if you are an undergraduate student your tuition fees will be covered for the first academic year.

Scholarship will be awarded to those selected students who demonstrate leadership qualities and potential. They will be future brand ambassadors of the UK institutions and ‘Study in the UK’ campaign. The British Council selection panel will select the scholarship awardees on set parameters.

Although the University will review all applicants for the scholarship (with the exception of Medicine and Dentistry students), the British Council have the following themes for GREAT Scholarship awards:

How to Apply

To apply for this scholarship, first please ensure you meet the above eligibility criteria.

As the University of Dundee are to nominate applicants for the scholarship, we ask that you submit a 500 word statement in support of your application. This should be submitted no later than the 13 May 2019 to be considered.

After we have received all applications, a final decision will be made and our nominations will be submitted to the British Council.

You may then receive notification from us to confirm your nomination, which will confirm the next steps for your application.

We cannot accept applications after the deadline date, so please ensure all criteria is met and personal statement is submitted in advance of this date. (13 May 2019)
