Scottish Graduate School of Social Science

We welcome applications for fully-funded PhDs to 8 disciplinary pathways, as part of the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (a Doctoral Training Partnership funded by ESRC).

The 8 disciplines at Dundee are:

  • Human Geography
  • Architecture & Urban Planning
  • Psychology; Linguistics
  • Health, Families, Relationships and Demographic Change
  • Economic and Social History
  • Education
  • Socio-Legal Studies and Criminology.

There is an Open Competition, plus four focused competitions – Advanced Quantitative Methods; ESRC Datasets; Interdisciplinary with another Research Council; and Skills Development Scotland. And the Collaborative competition, where the PhD is a partnership with an external organisation.
