Voices of the World collaboration

Sharon Tonner-Saunders, a lecturer in education, and student PGDE Primary teacher worked with teachers around the world to create the latest Voices of the World collaborative video.

The student teachers created video tutorials that they sent to their designated school, to enable the children to learn the words and Makaton signs for the song. For the first time, two student teachers' placement classes participated in the video. Neve Crombie and Briony Wilson taught their class how to sign various songs they had learnt at Sharon's Music and Makaton lunchtime club and the PGDE Music and Makaton Elective to develop children's awareness of using consistent gestures to support communication.
