University of Dundee and University of Sharjah forge strategic partnership
The two medical schools will collaborate across in health professions education

The University of Dundee and the United Arab Emirates based University of Sharjah have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at advancing excellence in health professions education through global collaboration.
The agreement will see both institutions work together across several key areas, including joint teaching and supervision of the Postgraduate Diploma/MSc and PhD in Leadership in Health Professions Education, faculty development, student exchange, joint research projects, and continuing professional development (CPD).
Coordinated by Professor Mohamed H. Taha from the University of Sharjah and Dr David Russell, Director of Business Development and Partnerships at the University of Dundee, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and the development of future leaders in health education.
Dr David Russell welcomed the signing, saying, “This collaboration reflects the strengths and shared values of both institutions. By working together, we can help shape the next generation of healthcare educators and leaders, with impact felt both locally and globally.”
