The first in-person event of its kind since the pandemic, dozens of employers will gather on campus and meet with prospective recruits at one of the University’s flagship careers events.

Companies from a host of sectors will be in attendance to discuss job and internship opportunities at the event, which takes place at the University’s Bonar Hall on Thursday 6 October. Students and graduates from other universities are welcome to attend.

One of the companies attending is broadcasting giant Sky, which offers a variety of different roles across the company.

“Our Careers Fair is among the biggest events of its kind in Scotland and always attracts a diverse and exciting range of employers,” said Richard Pool, the University’s Employer Engagement Manager.

“People may initially think of Sky as a television broadcaster, but large companies like these offer a host of both local and national opportunities. That includes areas such as finance and technology that are incredibly useful for students and graduates looking to develop their careers.

“Our Careers Fair is a great opportunity for both employer and prospective employee to find out more about each other, and this year we are delighted for these conversations to be taking place face-to-face.”

Sky will be one of many companies attending this year’s event, with national opportunities in the accountancy, business, life sciences and technology sectors among those available. As well as nationwide vacancies, local employers will also be represented, with the likes of accountancy firm Henderson Loggie and NCR Financial Solutions Group among those taking part.

The University of Dundee Careers Fair takes place at Bonar Hall, Park Place, on Thursday 6 October from 10.30am – 2.30pm. Admission is free but online registration in advance is required.
