Saltire Internships

In summer 2019 we celebrated three of our business undergraduate students gaining a place on the programme. Each working for a different organisation in a different country!

• Craig Forsyth – Economics – Findex, Sydney
• Denitsa Hristova – Business Mgt – Risk Mgt and Insurance – AJ Gallagher, Birmingham and London
• Michela Caviglia – International Business - Edwards Lifesciences, Dubai

In her final internship blog post, Denitsa Hristova commented; “After 6 incredible weeks as a Saltire Scholar at AJ Gallagher, I’m walking away with many new skills that will help me in my future career. I’ve been delighted to participate in the Gallagher UK Sales challenge alongside the rest of the interns who are a great example of young, passionate and driven people! Even though our team didn’t win, we learnt how to be part of something big and valuable and how to believe in our ideas. It was a pleasure being part of such a dynamic and creative team and I thoroughly enjoyed working on many different projects within the company. I had the chance to experience great company culture in London but mostly I was part of a friendly, knowledgeable and inspiring team in the Birmingham office. Being a Saltire Scholar is one of the best experiences I’ve had. I am strongly encouraging everyone who is considering applying to DO IT!”
