The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is based in the Chinese city of Chengdu and our students have the opportunity to stay for two weeks in the summer.

One of our Business Management undergraduate students, Ossama Morjani, reflects on his experience of living in China for two weeks.

"I decided to undertake this experience as I wanted to understand more about Chinese culture and education first-hand.

"Every morning we received classes/lectures on various topics. We learned more about Chinese culture, the economy, architecture and the education system. Our academics were a mixture of local lecturers from SWUFE and some from around the world.

"Each afternoon, we would travel around the city and visit various sights. Some of these were organised for us whereas others we just organised ourselves. The good thing was that we always had volunteers from SWUFE travel with us to help advise and support us with the language. These volunteers were by far the best part of the trip. They were extremely kind and supportive people.

"We stayed on the SWUFE campus which is huge and we felt very safe. We travelled around campus by bus. It was very open and well maintained.

I would encourage all students to consider this opportunity. It was two amazing weeks."
