In addition, Marios is academic lead for assessment and until earlier this year was the study exchanges coordinator for the School. He is also associate PI in the Division of Cell and Developmental Biology, where his research focusses on the mechanisms regulating neural differentiation of pluripotent stem cells.

Dr Stavridis said “ I am delighted to be appointed to this role. I want to continue improving our Biological Sciences degrees and will work closely with colleagues from both the School of Life Sciences and the School of Medicine to achieve this."

Many thanks to Dr David Booth, Marios' predecessor as Programme Lead for Biological Sciences, who has played an important role in ensuring the success of the degree programmes as they evolved through the first years of their new curriculum.
