This distance learning course is suited to individuals who are currently in a professional role and want to strengthen their professional development in leadership and management or community education.
You will explore and enhance your personal and professional effectiveness through reflexive self-awareness, audits and self-evaluation. The main areas covered are:
- Personal effectiveness: personal audit tools to explore motivation, values, ethics, professional standards, goals, strengths, development needs and plans.
- Self-management: resilience stressors and strategies, prioritisation, creativity.
- Professional effectiveness: communication, teamwork and collaboration problem solving.
On successful completion, you will achieve accreditation of 20 credits at SCQF level 8. This is an integral module within the BA Professional Development in Leadership and Management course so if you want to progress there are further opportunities on this programme.
