Additional requirements

If someone in your immediate family is a graduate of the University of Dundee or is currently undertaking a degree programme at the University of Dundee, then you may be eligible for the scholarship if you meet the following criteria:

  • Your programme must be full-time, taught on campus and lead to the award of a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Your programme fee must be £8,500 or above for Undergraduate programmes or £10,850 or above for Postgraduate Taught programmes.
  • Have an immediate family member who has graduated from the University of Dundee or is currently undertaking a degree programme at the University of Dundee.

Immediate family members include:

  • Mother
  • Father
  • Spouse
  • Step parent (by marriage)
  • Brother or Sister
  • Half brother and sister (by marriage)

Where eligible, this scholarship can be combined with one of the following scholarships: 

  • Global Excellence or
  • Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships (one region only)

Where eligible, this scholarship cannot be combined with:

  • Alumni

Further information

The value of this scholarship varies depending on your fee status: 

  • For Home, the rest of UK, and the Republic of Ireland applicants the value of the scholarship is £1,500 GBP, for 1 year only
  • For International applicants, the value of the scholarship is £3,000 GBP, for 1 year only.

Applications must be submitted before your latest course start date, as we cannot accept any applications after this point. Please ensure you apply on time to avoid missing out.

Please apply for the Family Alumni Scholarship by logging into your eVision portal via "my applications" then select "apply for funding"

Supporting Documentation:

Depending on the applicant's relationship, we will require you to submit the relevant documentation. 

A copy of the official degree certificate for the graduating family member

- Mother - Birth Certificate

- Father - Birth Certificate

- Spouse - Marriage Certificate

- Step-parent (by marriage) - Supporting legal documentation

- Brother or Sister - Birth Certificate

- Half brother and sister (by marriage) - Birth Certificate & Supporting Legal Documentation.

With permission from your family member, please include any relevant documentation relating to their study at Dundee.
