Anita Manning, who has featured on primetime shows such as Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip, is among the experts inviting people from across Tayside to have three historic items valued. Proceeds from the event will support the Ninewells Cancer Campaign, which is partnered by the University of Dundee.
So, could that vintage ring be worth its weight in gold? Will that prized pocket watch count you down to early retirement? Or is a tatty old toy worth a pretty penny? To find out, visitors can bring their items to the Invercarse Hotel on Tuesday 28 April, from 10:00-14:00.
Hosted by the Dundee Rotary Club, tickets for the event cost £15, which will be donated to the Campaign, allowing visitors to have their heirlooms and treasures valued by experts.
Christine Jamieson, Campaign Manager, said, “I am sure that most of us have puzzled over the value of some of the items in our homes or attics. This event is a fun, friendly way to finally find out whether these are ten a penny or worth a mint.
“Proceeds from the event will support the Ninewells Cancer Campaign and I would like to thank the Dundee Rotary Club for supporting us with this event. Working with local organisations has always been a hallmark of the Campaign, and the funds raised from this event will continue to support the valuable work taking place here in Dundee to battle cancer and its causes.”
