Adam Hall recently graduated from the University of Dundee with First Class Honours in International Finance, also receiving the School of Business prize for top performance in Finance.

Alongside his studies, he also trained as a Paralympic guide for GB skier Sam Cozens, taking part in the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.

His academic and sporting achievements, and his strong commitment to inclusion and teamwork, have now been recognised in The Herald Higher Education Awards, where he is a finalist for Outstanding Contribution from a Student.

Professor Karen Petrie, Vice-Principal and Head of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Business at Dundee, said, “Adam has been an outstanding student while also achieving so much more through his involvement with high-performance sport.

“The recognition that comes with being a finalist in The Herald Higher Education Awards is very much deserved.”

Adam said, “The University of Dundee has influenced my life in ways I never could have anticipated. I have been incredibly fortunate to feel valued by both the lecturers and the wider university community, supported while also being encouraged to meet high expectations.

“This nomination reflects the belief that when you commit wholeheartedly to your degree and to the people who support you, the dedication is returned many times over. Being shortlisted for this prestigious award is a tremendous honour, and I look forward to maintaining a strong connection with the University of Dundee for many years to come."

The Herald Higher Education Awards take place on 20 May in Glasgow. Full details on the awards and the finalists are here.
