EN & MN Lindsay Scholarship

This fund was established by two sisters, Miss EN Lindsay and Miss MN Lindsay, leaving money to the University from their estates to be used for a Postgraduate scholarship in Engineering and in Physics/Chemistry.

The Scholarship provides funding for a 4-year PhD studentship – Home tuition fees and stipend (UKRI rate, currently £18,622 per annum), with a small budget provided to the host lab to support research costs.

One studentship is available for 2024 entry. A list of the available projects that applicants can choose from, across both the School of Life Sciences and Science and Engineering, is shown below.

Entry requirements

Applicants should:

  • Hold at least a 2.1 Honours degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Be eligible for Home Fees (see University Fee Status Assessment)
