Biography
Ross is Lecturer and Programme Lead on our BSc Business Management GA degree, having joined the University in August 2020. He has previously held teaching positions at Glasgow Caledonian University/GCU London and the University of Strathclyde, and has undertaken work for the Scottish Government (as a Research Intern for Education Analytics Services) and Highlands and Islands Enterprise (running residential training for the ERDF-funded “ScotGrad” programme).
Ross holds degrees from Glasgow Caledonian University (BA Hons), the University of Glasgow (MSc), and the University of Strathclyde (PhD), as well as Postgraduate Certificates from the University of Strathclyde (in Research Methods in Business and Management) and the University of Dundee (in Academic Practice in Higher Education). His PhD work focused on the regional dynamics of skills imbalances across the Scottish economy, as well as the ability of employers to combat skills shortages and skills gaps. Ross is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
