Biography
Pengpeng is currently Lecturer of Geotechnical Engineering in the Geotechnics Research Group at the University of Dundee. He obtained his PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Western University in London, Canada on the ultimate and serviceability limit states of large shallow foundations for wind turbines under combined loadings. After his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Dalhousie University, Canada working on geotechnical code calibration and probabilistic analysis of geotechnical structures. His current research is largely focused on the reliability-based design of geotechnical structures, and the design of offshore foundations.
Pengpeng is always looking for talented and motivated PhD students on the development of innovative anchoring systems for floating offshore wind and the long-term effects of climate changes on geotechnical design and. Interested candidates are welcome to get in touch with Pengpeng at phe001@dundee.ac.uk.
