Biography
Niall Dodds has worked at the University of Dundee since 2007, initially working as a teaching fellow before taking up a permanent position as a lecturer in 2013. He held the role of programme leader for undergraduate mathematics at Dundee for over 10 years. For the last 3 years he has also held the role as programme leader for mathematics at the Dundee International Institute based in Changsha, China. He also previously held the role of Interim Associate Dean for Quality and Academic Standards for the School of Science and Engineering for one year before going on to specialise in Quality Assurance and Education for partnerships between the school of Science and Engineering and Chinese Universities.
Teaching
He has taught mathematics modules at all levels ranging from pre-university access courses to masters level and everything in-between. As programme leader in mathematics, Niall Dodds ensured that all the individual modules fit together to form cohesive degree programmes in mathematics. He has led the creation of new modules, programmes and the development of online assessment. More recently he has developed the delivery of the Dundee mathematics programme overseas through his role as programme leader for mathematics at the Dundee International Institute.
