Biography

Nadia is a part time PhD student with the Mother, Infant and Child Health research group (MIRU), investigating the safety of skin-to-skin care in critically ill neonates requiring advanced modes of respiratory support. Her supervisors are Louise Marryat and Elaine Lee. Nadia also completed her MSc in Leadership in Healthcare from the University of Dundee with a focus on psychological safety in multicultural and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

By profession, Nadia is a Canadian Respiratory Therapist who has been working in the Intensive Care Units across all pediatric/neonatal populations (NICU, PICU, P-CICU). Currently, she is working on building a standardized pathway in the province of Alberta for children with medical complexities requiring tracheostomy with or without long term ventilation.
