Biography

Dr Muhammad Ain Ul Haq was appointed as the Lecturer Medical Education at Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee from August 1, 2024.
Dr Muhammad A. Haq was formerly the Vice Principal Academics at Baqai Dental College, Baqai Medical University situated in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. He developed on many initiatives during his tenure like Student centred teaching, Case based teaching, small group learning, Programmatic assessments, program evaluation model, students feedback culture, faculty training programmes.

While he was at Baqai Medical University, he also led the Assessment Unit from 2018 till November 2023. He managed 44 programmes in all which comprised of undergraduate healthcare related programmes like MBBS, BDS, PharmD, DPT and etc. He also got the opportunity to work on Assessments of Postgraduate degree programmes like MPhil, MDS, MS, MD and PhD.

He was also part of the Quality Assurance Board, Baqai Medical University. He was pivotal member of the University Curriculum Committee, Evaluation Committee and various Board of Studies, Assessment Committees, Research Committees.

Teaching

Here at University of Dundee Dr Muhammad Haq has been involved in teaching, assessment, program evaluation and management of modules for PG Cert, Diploma and MME programmes. He also contributes to supervisions, moderation and programme administration. Currently, Dr Haq is the lead Dental Education pathway, also leading the Linking theory to practise module, leading the QA pathway for new programme/ module for SMED and managing an international region for Centre of Medical Education.
