Biography
As Associate Dean (International) within the School of Medicine, my role is to take the academic lead for development, operationalisation and delivery of the School’s international strategy and plan in line with the University strategic plan. Activities include identifying, promoting and enabling opportunities for developing high quality programmes that will be successful in recruiting students, are financially sustainable and realise the full benefits of internationalising the student body. Development of new programmes and courses will be relevant to international market demands. Additionally, working with the Professional Service Lead for Internationalisation to oversee international student recruitment and conversion activities.
A key role is also to maintain a robust support system for international students from the application stage through to award of degree and beyond. Additionally, to support and engage with our international alumni to help build our reputation and strengthen our recruitment capabilities.
