My research interests are in knowledge translation - the implementation of research evidence in clinical practice.

SDCEP operates within NHS Education for Scotland, collaborating with the Scottish dental institutions and other stakeholders to develop and disseminate user-friendly, evidence-based guidance on priority topics for dental healthcare in Scotland.

TRiaDS has established a framework for implementation of guidance and conducts and evaluates integrated, multi-disciplinary translation research embedded within SDCEP guidance development.  TRiaDS aims to both promote the implementation of guidance recommendations and to understand the basis for choosing and developing knowledge translation interventions.
