David MacLeod

David MacLeod graduated BAcc Accountancy in 2008 from the University of Dundee. Whilst studying he was an active member of Dundee University Sailing Club, and Dundee University Ski and Snowboard Club. David was also a member of the Sports Union Executive in 2006-2007.

On completion of his degree David was elected to the Student’s Association (DUSA) Executive as Vice President for Communications with responsibility for student societies, media, events and establishing the Magdalen student magazine. The following year he was elected as Student President, serving as head of DUSA. During this time David became a member of University Court and a board member of the College of Medicine Dentistry and Nursing.

Since leaving Dundee David has pursued a career in Procurement, working first for Highlands and Islands Enterprise as a Procurement Officer on projects ranging from business advice to construction. In 2010 David moved to Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges Ltd where he is currently Procurement Manager in the ICT team.

Outside work David is a keen sailor racing at Port Edgar Yacht Club on the Forth. He also enjoys travelling, cooking, skiing and cycling. He lives in Edinburgh.
