Biography

Studied Psychology at the University of Leipzig (Germany) 2003-2008, Doctorate in Psychology 2008-2012, same place, followed by a PostDoc.

Moved to Scotland in 2014 for a second PostDoc at the University of Glasgow. First Lectureship in Psychology at the University of Stirling in 2019. Joined the faculty of the Psychology Division of the University of Dundee in 2022.

Research

I will gladly discuss proposals and funding ideas for PhD projects, as well as UG and MSc dissertation project ideas that align with my research interests - kindly get in touch!

Research interests

  • Visual and multisensory cognition.
  • Neurophysiology of cognitive processes, with a focus on rhythmic and neuromodulatory brain activity.
  • Lapses of attention during sustained task performance.
  • Methods: (Mobile) EEG, MEG, eye tracking (pupillometry), fNIRS, and other physiological measures, psychophysics
