Biography

Ana Stanic is an English Solicitor Advocate, an Irish Solicitor and an Honorary Lecturer at CEPMLP. She is the founder of E&A Law Limited, an innovative law firm which combines energy specialism with expertise in EU law, international law and arbitration and advises energy companies, states and international financial institutions on the transactional, regulatory and dispute resolution aspects of the energy sector.

Ana has advised on maritime boundary disputes in East Med and Africa, on concession agreements to construct large energy infrastructure, host government agreements to construct pipelines, EU law aspects of EIAs concerning large energy infrastructure, energy transition, as well as on issues of EU energy, competition and state aid law. She has acted as counsel in gas price review arbitrations as well as investment treaty and commercial arbitrations and has sat as arbitrator. She has also appeared before the Court of Justice of the EU and regularly advises on questions of EU law. Ana has a LLM from Cambridge University, UK and a LLB and B. Commerce (Finance and Banking) from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

For the last ten years Ana has been recommended as a leading lawyer in Energy and Energy Disputes, Public International Law and Investment Treaty arbitration by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. Besides English Ana speaks Slovenian, Bosnian/Croat/Serbian, Italian and Catalan and understands Russian, French and Spanish.
