Decision Making module (SW50017)

This module has a focus on two key areas:

1. ethics, philosophy and risk
2. law

The ethics element provides you with the opportunity to understand philosophical, conceptual frameworks and debates that will help you work through dilemmas and accountabilities around decision-making in practise in social work and also general professional activity.

The law element provides you with an opportunity to understand existing legal frameworks underpinning social work practice, core legislation impacting on social work, legal reasoning and the frameworks that apply to law in Scotland.

This module also includes an Enquiry, Action Learning Activity where you will apply your learning to a true to life social work issue.
