Water Resources Assessment and Development module (GE32024)

Aims

The module aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge to assess the water resources of a catchment, with particular reference to hydro power generation. The module is concerned with the sustainable development of natural resources, seeking to develop in engineering students an insight into how the needs of society can be achieved with minimal impact on the environment and maximum gain for the investor.It also aims to complement the student’s more traditional engineering education with a more application focused module that includes practical challenges and the wider aspects of energy generation.
