​​This module runs across the full academic year and forms the core of your Honours course in Jewellery and Metal Design. You design, research, and deliver a self-initiated project brief, using your personal skills and knowledge to direct a future career path. 

​You work in Jewellery and Metal Design studios, workshops, and digital suites. Your practice is supported by individual and group tutorials, peer learning, and group critiques. You'll produce a written project proposal linked to your future aspirations and conduct in-depth contextual research to critically inform your studio work. 

​You are expected to drive your own learning through consistent engagement with tutors, peers, and the wider design community. Professional lectures and seminars run throughout the year. You produce a substantial body of work demonstrating skills, insight, and creative interpretation. This culminates in an exhibition at the annual Degree Show, where you present design work, reflective journals or essays, and oral presentations.
