In this module, you will focus on a series of projects. These are designed to introduce advanced graphic design and visual communication processes.

You will build on the skillsets you learned in Year 2. You will focuses more on contemporary professional graphic design practice with an audience in mind.

You will engage in research-led design development. This will have a focus on considerations of how graphic design impacts society.

To do this you will work between physical and digital media. You will also be introduced to further technical skills. You will gain required media and processes to solve more complex design problems.

You will learn through teamwork and collaborations. This will help you refine your core graphic design skills as you expand the scope and formats to visually communicate with.

What you will learn

In this module you will:

  • learn how core graphic design skills can be applied to more challenging design problems
  • discover different ways that narrative is important with designed outcomes
  • practice working collaboratively to successfully complete a design outcome

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • design effectively across a variety of formats and outcomes
  • work collaboratively to provide design solutions to a set brief
  • improve your own time-management, organisational and problem-solving in your design process
