Medical Education for General Practitioners
This module aims to enable students to critically evaluate both the principles and the practices of teaching within a primary care setting whist developing, delivering and reflecting on their own teaching and assessment of students
By the end of this module, students should be able to:
- Critically appraise the roles, responsibilities, skills and attributes of the clinical teacher in relation to current approaches to supporting learning in the General Practice workplace.
- Critically appraise the practicality of theories and models of workplace learning in relation to clinical teaching and learning in the General Practice context.
- Articulate a critical stance by reflecting upon your own planning, preparation and delivery of clinically focused teaching activities.
- Recommend practical measures to critically analyse and integrate key trends and evidence-based strategies into your clinical teaching in the General Practice setting.
